Manufacturing & Installation of a Porta Storage™ System for the Brooklyn Museum
At PORTA STORAGE™ we provide quality, expeditious storage system solutions for a variety of applications. Large institutions, museums, storage facilities, and private residential properties all benefit from our products. A current Porta Storage fabrication was commissioned by the museum industry.
The storage system was engineered based on customer specifications, including construction from steel and aluminum materials and polyethylene and resin wheels on the top and bottom, respectively. The unit incorporated 56 panels on a ceiling track, each panel supporting 10 lbs. per square foot, floor guides, and 100 Porta Storage hooks supporting 150 lbs. each. We also integrated stops at both ends of travel into the system. The unit was fabricated using our state-of-the-art equipment for cutting, machining, and welding within 5 months.
Following fabrication, we procured the necessary hardware for the system and coordinated shipping and delivery of the 158.5" high and 161" long Porta Storage System to the Brooklyn Museum. At Porta Storage, our goal is custom designs, quality fabrication, and timely execution.Contact us today for your next storage project.
